that mixes styles and design periods, the old with the new, and the natural with the man-made. Petrified wood literally looks like a stunning magic trick by nature, and Tibetan lamb wool feels and looks like a cloud.
I strive to fuse art deco glamour and polish by way of lacquer, metallics, black and white schemes, exotic materials and inlays, with the more relaxed and cozy feel of vintage and hand-knotted rugs, blankets with fringe, Moroccan-style light fixtures, and eclectic art.
There’s no party quite as welcoming in a home as when guests are getting to know each other, comfortably reclining on richly colored and patterned pillows. My favorite gatherings are like this – when people are sitting close, some on chairs, some on floor cushions and rugs that tell a story, with delicious finger foods and drinks at arms length, on low coffee tables. To me, this is Casual Decadence; living in a relaxed, sophisticated environment.
Ultimately, design should not be about the designer as much as it should be about you - the client, so at PERRY&WEST we take pride in being able to adapt to our clients’ design aesthetic, while adding guidance and influence.
When I meet a client I like to know where they were, where they want to go, and what pieces and accessories they want to keep. This way it's a collaboration. Your opinion and your vision are what add personality to the design; the end result - bringing forth your essence.
Thank you for inviting me into your lovely spaces and cheers to making them even lovelier,
